Our Ae Fishery sites, both based at Parkgate, west of Moffat, D&G, have a vacancy for an experienced HGV driver who is not only super-safe, compliant and fit but also gets great comments about dealing with customers. It's a 14 tonne rigid flat back DAF that carries live fish to rivers, lakes and fish farms, so it's not just tarmac you'll be treading, there's off-road bridle tracks and the like. We love to take applicants from all sectors but you do need to be "fit-fit" as you need to be able to climb onto the flat back and then off-load heavy nets of wriggling fish quickly to ensure their welfare from water-filled commercial tanks to their new homes, quickly and accurately. Whilst we are RSPCA Assured, full training in the transport of livestock will be given including shadowing our existing HGV driver Chris who is looking forward to retirement at the end of June; but if you're ready to start now, great! Basic starting salary £22k gross pa + review on probationary period completion + staff pension + bonus(es) + CPC hours training paid by us + it's mainly weekdays with occasional Saturdays + home virtually every night! What's not to like? To apply please drop an email to Beverley Jowett, Ae Fishery, part of the Northern Trout group: email@example.com
